CALL FOR PAPERS ======================================= 4th Workshop on Information Technologies for Logistics (IT4L'15) Lodz, Poland, September 13-16, 2015 WWW: http://fedcsis.org/it4l E-mail: it4l2015(a)fedcsis.org We would like to cordially invite you to consider contributing a paper to IT4L 2015 - held as a part of the Federated Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems (FedCSIS 2015). FedCSIS a yearly international multi-conference organized by the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI) in cooperation with the IEEE Region 8, ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, European Alliance for Innovation, Lodz ACM Chapter, Polish Operational and Systems Research Society - POSRS, Eastern Cluster ICT Poland, Mazovia Cluster ICT (further technical collaborations will be announced shortly). The main purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss current issues concerning use of ICT in logistic applications (hardware and software). There will be also an opportunity for hardware integrators, software developers and logistics companies to demonstrate their solutions, as well as achievements, in different logistic systems. TOPICS ======================================= The topics of interest include but are not limited to: - Innovations in information systems supporting logistics and its management (WMS, SCM, TMS, LIS, VMI, CRP, PLM, and others) - Innovative technologies in warehouse management: RFID, Voice - Picking, Image Recognition, Pick Radar, etc. - Logistics process modeling, including influence of warehouse automatic - Optimization of logistics processes: * optimal vehicle routing and management, boundary conditions * optimal picking routing (global optimization, fast search, collision prediction and prevention) * shared mobility systems * day-to-day dynamic traffic assignment models * effective methods of picking (multi picking, batch picking ect.) * relationships between picking efficiency and products decomposition in warehouse area - Environmental protection (for example carbon-aware transportation) - Artificial intelligence systems and decision support systems in logistics - BI, data mining and process mining in logistics - Quality management algorithms and methods - Material Flow Theory and applications PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION ======================================= Papers should be submitted by April 24, 2015. Preprints will be published on a USB memory stick provided to the FedCSIS participants. Only papers presented during the conference will be submitted to the IEEE for inclusion in the Xplore Digital Library. Therefore, submission of research proposals with limited preliminary results is strongly encouraged. Besides receiving specific advice for their contributions all participants will be invited to attend plenary lectures on conducting high-quality research studies, excellence in scientific writing and issues related to intellectual property in IT research. Authors of the two most outstanding submissions will have a possibility to present their papers in a form of short plenary lecture. Utility with Cloud services can already be achieved for compute, storage and communication resources but also for hosted software and data. UCC is the premier IEEE/ACM conference covering all areas related to Cloud Computing as a Utility. There is also increasing interest from commercial providers to offer business and revenue models around the services they offer. Understanding how these model could be used to provide utility for both users, intermediary brokers (aggregators) and providers will also be of interest for this conference. This will be the 7th UCC in a successful conference series. Previous events were held in Shanghai, China (Cloud 2009), Melbourne, Australia (Cloud 2010 & UCC 2011), Chennai, India (UCC 2010), Chicago, USA (UCC 2012), and Dresden, Germany (UCC2013).
