Dear all, I just booked a session for OGF30. All parties working on implementation and adoption of GLUE 2.0 are invited to attend and report on their activities (5'-10' presentation each). For those who cannot be represented, please, share a written report. ---------- GLUE 2.0 - Implementation and Adoption Status The GLUE 2.0 specification was ratified as proposed recommendation in March 2009. There are several implementation activities for adopting it. This session will focus on: report on implementation and adoption, status on reference renderings specification. GLUE 2 milestone

Hi, I thought I'd mention that we just reached a milestone for GLUE 2 deployment: we now have production sites publishing GLUE 2 information, for example: ldapsearch -x -h site-bdii.lip.pt -p 2170 -b GLUE2DomainID=LIP-Lisbon,o=glue There's still a way to go before this is really usable, but I think this represents quite a lot of progress. Adopting a GLUE2 XML Schema?

Hi, Grimoires, the OMII-UK service discovery implementation, currently supports GLUE 1.3, but we wish to update this to support an XML schema rendering of GLUE2. Given that there isn't currently an up-to-date XML schema for GLUE2 from the WG, we were wondering how best to proceed. We're aware that there is an XML schema developed by TeraGrid - would this be an appropriate way forward until one is developed within the WG? Any advice gratefully received! Notes from OGF 28

The main aim for the GLUE session at OGF 28 was to provide a status update on the GLUE 2.0 renderings. The first part of the session was comprised of a number of presentations giving the status of the LDAP and XML renderings. The second part was a free-from discussion on the status and the next steps. It was noticed that we could have spent more time discussing various topics, so for the next OGF we may want to consider two sessions rather than just one. A nice surprise was to find out that D-Grid have implemented a portal using the GLUE 2.0 data model. It was suggested that we should maintain a collection of projects using the GLUE 2.0 model. As concrete outcomes, it was decided that we need to push forward with rendering documents with the aim of finalizing them soon. The LDAP rendering document is in good shape and should not take to much effort to finish. For the XML renderings, Balazs will arrange some phone meetings in order to discuss the outstanding issues. The question of whether or not we need an SQL rendering was raised. Although many people are putting GLUE 2.0 information into relational databases, is there a need to standardize the model?
