Hi everybody, please send me your preference for the allocation of the two GLUE sessions at the next OGF 20. In particular: 1. number of days: - both in one day - two contiguous days - no preference 2. preferred days of the week we will try to change the current request according to the preference of the majority. I don't know, but I'm not sure if I would come at all yet ... in particular if the sessions are on different days it's less obvious that it's worth coming. Dear all, a couple of updates about the GLUE-WG participation to the upcoming OGF20: 1. we have send an invitation to the relevant people of OGSA-BES WG, JSDL-WG and OGSA Resource Management DT in order to propose the organization of a common session on information modeling of computing resources during OGF20 2. we have requested two OGF GLUE sessions with the following draft descriptions: - GLUE Use cases The GLUE-WG will provide a recommendation for an abstract information model which is expressed via a schema independent of information system implementations. The purpose of this session is to present and discuss the collected use cases related to resource and service representation in the information service of production Grid infrastructures. Use cases related to upcoming scenarios will be also considered. - GLUE Entities The GLUE-WG will provide a recommendation for an abstract information model which is expressed via a schema independent of information system implementations. The purpose of this session is to discuss the core entities of the skeleton GLUE model. Collecting background materials for glue2

Dear All, As a part of the migration process (moving the glue 2 activitis to the OGF gridforge page) i've started to populate our gridforge area with relevant background materials. Our "Documents" area has a "Background" directory http://forge.gridforum.org/sf/docman/do/listDocuments/projects.glue-wg/docm… where i started to collect relevant schemas & infomodels. Please upload any schema/infomodel document you are aware of and you think that can be relevant for the glue-2.0 work. In particular, the Naregi CIM extensions would be nice to have there. OGF GLUE WG approved + moving the mailing list

Hi everybody, I'm glad to inform you that the GLUE Working Group has been approved in the context of the OGF. At OGF 19, the first session was held and the slides are available here: http://forge.gridforum.org/sf/docman/do/listDocuments/projects.glue-wg/docm… The minutes will be uploaded shortly. Some organizational information: 1. URL of the new website: http://forge.gridforum.org/sf/projects/glue-wg we will start moving the content of the current wesite to the new one in the next days 2. New mailing list: glue-wg(a)ogf.org to subscribe: http://www.ogf.org/mailman/listinfo/glue-wg It was agreed that all the discussion (both 1.3 and 2.0 schema version) will be moved in the context of OGF, therefore please, *subscribe and post only to the new mailing list*.
