Start of Rewrite of Syntax Section

Hi Mike, etc, Please find attached the start of a rewrite of the syntax rules. My apologies for not getting further with this. I had hoped to work on it yesterday and today, but a gas leak from my central heating got in the way! I wondered why my head had been aching... On Monday I start my new job at Adobe. I will stay subscribed to the mailing list and will be interested to monitor the progress of the specification. With a bit of luck I'll be able to resume my involvement at some stage. Christian, The DFDL current spec is still quite in flux though the introductory material may help you understand if DFDL is the right kind of tool for you or not. Here's a link to the current working documents: https://forge.gridforum.org/sf/go/doc14052?nav=1 Implementations are working a bit ahead of the spec. I'm hoping that an IBM alphaworks software system will be released soon which contains a DFDL implementation that is close to the current state of the specification and the understanding of the working group. In terms of timelines.
