WG meeting at OGF44?

OGF 44 is collocated with an EGI Conference and there will be other meetings too. Will we be quorate to have a UR-WG meeting? We have gained some experience with our cloud UR which we can share. We also plan to migrate cloud and cpu to URv2 this year so would be interested in feedback from others. John

Leaving current job

Dear all, In the weeks after last OGF there have not been much updates on the subject of UR. In the meanwhile I decided to accept a job offer that will lead me away from OGF. I will not be able to chair the group any more. Nevertheless if possible I will continue to give my contribution to the group as much as possible. I think I will not be able to follow any phone meeting or conferences but I will try to follow the list and give my contribution here. It has been a pleasure and a stimulating experience to chair the group I hope the work will continue and progress in the next months and years. Dear all, Not many of us voted the Doodle pool: http://www.doodle.com/t4vd73sw8nf96fbi6idqfbnn/admin#table Anyway the end of August is closing in an I would say that the best day for the meeting seems to be the 13th of September from 14:00 CEST to 15:00 CEST. I think that it will not take more than one hour. We should discuss how to move on from now. What do we need on the UR? Who can contribute on the work? Shall we resume the bi weekly phone meetings? I think that we should not start any technical discussion but, as far as possible, decide only how to organize the future work. Phone meeting before OGF 39

Dear all, Before the OGF 39 that will be co-hosted with EGI TF 2013 from the 16th to the 18th of September we could have a phone meeting to discuss what we plan to do for the upcoming future. I have started a Doodle here: http://www.doodle.com/t4vd73sw8nf96fbi Everyone that wishes to attend please cast his/her preferences. During the phone we can discuss future plans and then, after OGF, resume the biweekly phone. No UR-WG session has been requested but I will be around in Madrid both for the EGI TF and OGF. Maybe it is time to think if we want to proceed further on the work and maybe advance to UR2.1. Several weeks ago I posted some thought on GPU accounting. What do you think? UR V2 Implementations?

Has anyone attempted an implementation of UR v2? Someone told Tiziana Ferrari of EGI that CAR and StAR were v2 implementations. While I know we carried some features from them forward into the v2 draft, can we call them v2? Regards, John -- Scanned by iCritical.
