Genesis ClassCastException

Unicore endpoint problem

Hi all, When I try to use invoke the operations of unicore service. The header of soap message contains some mustunderstand attributed which will cause fault. Do you meet the same problem as us? Genesis II Endpoint Problems

Ladies and Gentlemen, I see a large number of stack traces on my service indicating that incorrect username/passwords were passed (the correct ones are SC06 and SC06 respectively). I also see some indications that unrecognized soap headers are being used as well (which supports my theory that the reference parameters aren't getting passed correctly). The ClassCastException is indicative of this as well. For reasons that are unfortunate (and fixed in the next version of Genesis II), if you don't send me headers that I recognize as reference parameters, then I load a different class then normal for the resource, but your operation is target at something that needs the former type of resource, hence the class cast exception. Thus, if you can send me a copy of the soap messages you are sending me, I can further identify this problem. If you can't do that, then send me a Yahoo IM at mmm2a42 so I can set up the endpoint in extreme debugging mode to get a copy of your message. GridSAM demo info on the wiki

The URL, JSDL, CA cert and the output http dir are now on the wiki. The service is up and running and the output dir is accessible. I'd suggest putting your project name in the <ProjectName> element in the JSDL so I could find easily the appropriate messages in my logs if needed. For each submitted job there will be a subdirectory in the output dir. The name of the subdir is 'gridsam-<a_long_hex_number>'. The hex number is the actual job id GridSAM assigns and returns in CreateActivityResponse (that looks like: 'urn:gridsam:<a_long_hex_number>'). The easiest way to find your job output subdir is to look for the last few digits of the jobId hex number. Globus Status

I'm having a problem with the GetFactoryAttributesDocument operation for UVA: 2006-11-06 18:03:09,565 ERROR ser.BeanSerializer [main,serialize:287] Exception: java.io.IOException: Non nillable element 'localResourceManagerType' is null. The schema indicates that the LocalResourceManagerType element has (by default) a cardinality of 1 (i.e. minOccurs=1, maxOccurs=1). This is what my deserializer is saying (i.e. it's required but absent). General Status -------------- My system guys haven't punched out the firewall holes yet, so I apologize I don't have anything for other to test against yet. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday... I've been successful in querying the factory attributes, creating an activity, querying for acitivty status, and terminating an activity for both UVA and Platform. I still don't know what Microsoft's CA cert is. I haven't had a chance to retest CROWN or gLite. Peter

New JSDL for Genesis II

In the interest in providing a more interesting demo, I have uploaded a new JSDL document for the Genesis II implementation of BES/HPCP. The document can be reached from the WIKI page at the old link. Instead of doing hostname, it now runs Gnomad, a molecular modelling/folding program. This program will take approximately 30 to 45 seconds to execute if your client is one which loops while getting status until a final state is reached (as mine does). The sample JSDL of UVA .net implementation is invalid

Hi all, I have a test on the interop with other services, and found that the sample JSDL by the UVA .net implementation is not a valid JSDL file. The sample JSDL document has an extra <ActivityDocument> element as it's root element. In fact a JSDL document won't contain this element. Globus Status

I have the create and terminate operations implemented and working locally. I will put up an endpoint sometime today, and by them will hopefully have the other operations implemented. Is there a WSDL snipit or something of this "Show job output" operation, or does this just mean that I have an FTP server running? Problems -------- I am unable to get responses from either of the .Net implementations using my client. My SOAP message logging show that the client message is going out, but nothing is ever received back. Are these services still up? I tried using my client on the Platform service (service URL https://plato.dreadnought.org) but I got an error saying that the client couldn't find the correct CA. I did download and install the CA cert and have debug output showing it was loaded, so I'm wondering if anyone has had success with this service recently. If so, Chris, could I get the public certificate of the server to help in my debugging? After agreeing that we wouldn't use EPRs, I'm confused about the use of them on the wiki. I did what others did and didn't bother implementing support for the WS-Addressing SOAP headers. The Platform EPR is trivial so that's not a problem. The GenesisII EPR, though, is very non-trivial. That said, I see that some clients have indeed talked to the GenesisII endpoint, so I'm rather confused. Did I miss a discussion where it was decided that full WS-Addressing support was now mandatory? Finally, I tried to use the CROWN endpoint too, but I get the following error: Authentication failed [Caused by: Defective credential detected [Caused by: [JGLOBUS-96] Certificate "C=CN,ST=Beijing,L=Beijing,O=company,OU=department,CN=localhost" expired]] Peter

I figured out what's going on. The .Net implementations at least are using port 443. Globus defaults to 8443. Could everyone perhaps make a point of including explicit port numbers in they're service URLs? The problem as I understand it is this: *Nix machines have a port restriction on low ports, which makes it impossible to start a web service container on 443 without it being run as root. Windows has no such restriction. So while 443 is technically the standard for https, non-.Net web service containers conventionally use 8080 for http and 8443 for https transport so that non-root users can stand up containers.
