Attached is a flyer describing OCCI for use at the NIST workshop. Those who are going to SuperComputing may wish to put this out, along with others that we plan to make, for distribution at their booths or otherwise make use of it. Please review it and pass on any comments ASAP. Thanks, Alan

Hello Alain, I agree it looks better with the lighter font. In the central diagram it mentions "Operation", I was wondering if the official OCCI model term of "Action" would be more approriate ? Hi Jamie, Quite possibly. Group, what are your thoughts? I am on a plane to the location of the workshop shortly, so please gather and send any other corrections to Joel. (He will be traveling soon too, but I think there is time to incorporate correction suggestions.) Alan On Nov 1, 2011, at 3:12 AM, Jamie Marshall wrote:

Jaime is right - Action is in line with the spec's nomenclature. Also you might remove "Ruby GEMS" - that's just a packaging system used by ruby. Andy andy.edmonds.be On Tue, Nov 1, 2011 at 08:33, Alan Sill <alan.sill@ttu.edu> wrote:

The narrow columns on the side of the figures are difficult to read, typographically not advisable (spacing between letters becomes irregular): what about a single column, with the figure on one side? With saved space I suggest to give more relevance to title and subtitle. There are some redundant/useless words around: I found "including e.g.", "and also", "typical". I'd say "more than twenty" instead of "dozens", and "is going to be" instead of "is expected to be" (if true). Evaluate "computers" instead of "servers" (accent on "compute", consistent with figure). 2011/11/1 Alan Sill <alan.sill@ttu.edu>

Thanks for all of the comments. Here is the version we will be taking to the workshop. (We did not have time to edit the label in the figure, but "Action" as we use it in the documents is simply a specialized form of operation, so the figure is still technically correct.) Can we replace the diagram with the one here: http://occi-wg.org/about/ - The other one is outdated :-) Cheers, -Thijs -----Original Message----- From: occi-wg-bounces@ogf.org on behalf of Alan Sill Sent: Tue 01.11.2011 08:40 To: occi-wg@ogf.org Cc: Joel Replogle; Craig Lee; Alan Sill Subject: [occi-wg] OCCI flyer for NIST and SC11 Attached is a flyer describing OCCI for use at the NIST workshop. That one has already been printed. Craig can certainly use the newer one in anything he shows, though. Anything technically wrong with the old diagram we should know about? Alan PS: If ay OCCI-WG members are at the NIST event today and/or tomorrow, we could use some help covering our OGF table. Feel free to stop by. Alan On Nov 2, 2011, at 3:59 AM, Thijs Metsch wrote:
