I would like to thank Andy and the Guys from DSA-Research of the University of Madrid who helped making this possible. Feel free to post any comments, thoughts and ideas! OCCI testing tutorial and q on use with secured services

How about an OCCI testing tutorial using some of the deployed instances as an example? A starting point might be the tool at the following link. (Version 2.3.3 released today.) Project: rest-client - Project Hosting on Google Code Link: http://code.google.com/p/rest-client/ I'd also like to see a test with SSL-secured httpd services, preferably in a GSI AuthZ or other user cert-secured context. I know this will be trivial but I'd just like to see if anyone has done it in a deployed context to date. Any links? US NIST and SIENA teleconferences and meetings

Dear OGF folks, As you may know, the US NIST and EU SIENA working groups on cloud computing topics are in a very active state now, and now is the time to engage. The following list of NIST cloud computing working group meetings is available at their Cloud Computing collaboration web site: http://collaborate.nist.gov/twiki-cloud-computing/bin/view/CloudComputing/W… In addition, SIENA has a somewhat higher-level process going on and is planning their CloudScape III event March 15-16 in Brussels, Belgium, and is working on a similar wiki, but that at present is for roadmap document participants only and is not yet public. If the SIENA process expands to include other participants, I will be sure to try to pass this on to OGF participants. Meanwhile, participation in the groups linked above and below on the part of OGF-related participants would be helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions. These are fairly high-level groups, and participation by everyone in all groups is not necessary or required, but I would like to ensure that we have adequate contact between OGF and both of these roadmapping processes. With apologies for the Word format, the following message forwarded from one sent below by Bob Marcus in a non-OGF context summarizes some work he has done with a Telecommunications-oriented group in developing responses to the current US NIST call for input on cloud standards roadmaps. There are several such related groups, as I summarized in a previous message to the GFSG and am now passing on to the OCCI-WG with the suggestion that its members consider joining one or more of the US NIST working group mailing lists to ensure that they are fully aware of its procedures and processes for input, and with the request that the OCCI-WG coordinate with me and the relevant OGF area director and, if needed, with any other OGF groups and interested people on a response. The registration page for the related mailing lists is http://www.nist.gov/itl/cloud/workinggroups.cfm At this page you can check the boxes for topics you are interested in, keeping in mind that these are intended to be working group e-mail lists and that progress on a short time scale is expected. Once you complete the form, you will be directed to a page summarizing the work of the NIST-related groups to date, including recent related workshops. If you are interested, please register for any and all lists as appropriate to keep track of activities. Since there are manyhigh-level organizations involved, we may be asked to coordinate our responses as an organization, but right now I only want to make you aware of the processes taking place and give you an opportunity to become more familiar with the work being done by NIST and make sure you have an opportunity to participate. A short form response to me to indicate where you see OGF documents and standards being applicable would be helpful and greatly appreciated. I have in mind in particular OCCI but others such as DFDL may also be applicable. This is a topic to which I think OGF should give a lot of attention. A related process is going on in the standards "adoption jumpstart" group (SAJACC) in NIST, and in the SIENA roadmap process taking place now in Europe.
