From: http://www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/resource-library/g-cloud-programme-phase-2 G-Cloud Programme - Phase 2 In October 2009, following approval from the CIO Council, a team led by the Cabinet Office set out to define how the public sector could utilise the Cloud Computing approach to ICT delivery and explore what benefits and challenges this approach would create. This became known as Phase 2 of the G-Cloud Programme. Phase 2 (October 2009 to April 2010) was led by the Cabinet Office and included representatives from over 10 Government departments who headed up work packages involving some 100 volunteers from a broad spectrum of ICT suppliers. Following peer review during February/March 2010 the following documents were finalised: • G-Cloud Vision • G-Cloud Commercial Strategy • G-Cloud Strategic Outline Business Case • G-Cloud Implementation Strategy • G-Cloud Information Assurance Report • G-Cloud Service Management, Organisational Structure and Governance • G-Cloud Service Specification • G-Cloud Technical Architecture • G-Cloud Founding Principles These reports are published here and reflect the conclusions of G-Cloud Phase 2 Programme. Report 5, Information Assurance is not being published and some additional security related information located in other documents has also been removed. Phase 2 reports were developed as key deliverables under work strands of the ICT strategy published on 27th January 2010. They provide a well informed baseline of public sector Cloud thinking from 2009 to early 2010. Further development of plans for adoption of the Cloud Computing approach to ICT and the delivery of cloud based services to the public sector is on-going and will reflect the objectives of the Coalition Government. Cloud Computing principles are evolving rapidly and these will be incorporated into this work. ... There is an ongoing standards cataloging and development process being coordinated by NIST also, as described in recently sent links. Please consider participating to the degree that makes sense to you based on your projects. We also have engagement with several cloud projects in the US also, and are interested in extending this engagement throughout our organization where it makes sense. Need more on implementations

Dear OCCI WG: Please take a look at the NIST table as it has evolved for cloud interfaces at: http://collaborate.nist.gov/twiki-cloud-computing/bin/view/CloudComputing/C… I would like to promote some of the implementations in the list from "in progress" to "available" and add links to downloadable implementations that can be used. The links there are from following ones on the occi-wg.org site. Are there any updates? Can we firm up some of the references to existing implementations? (This is important, as many people will make real-world decisions based on this and other related lists like this.) Hi OCCI-WG, as far as I know right now (mostly from Thijs), there are no OCCI sessions planned for OGF-31. Also, so far none of the core WG members seems to be going to Taiwan. That is not a problem really, as the group is making good progress AFAICS. However, we (aka GFSG) think that OCCI is missing the option for outreach in the AP area which OGF-31 was supposed to provide. Thus the question if somebody from this list/group would volunteer to at least give a general overview/outreach presentation in Tapei. Best, Andre. -- Nothing is ever easy...
