Tutorials (Sunday, 13 March) More information is available at http://www.ggf.org/Meetings/GGF13/GGF13_Tutorials_b.htm Tutorial 1 - OGSA-DAI Developers (Time: 9am-6pm) The UK-based "Open Grid Service Architecture - Data Access and Integration" (OGSA-DAI) project is producing middleware components to access and integrate data through uniform Web Services for Grid environments. This tutorial will provide an introduction to the functional capabilities of data services as seen in the current OGSA-DAI release 5.0. In particular, we will be covering two subjects of importance to developers: the activity framework and the client toolkit. Tutorial 2 - Distributed Resource Management Application API (Time: 9am-1:30pm) DRMAA tutorial will start with a short introduction to distributed and parallel processing. Differences and similarities to OpenMP, explicit threads, MPI, Globus toolkit GRAM, and other remote job submission realizations will be given. The introductory part will be followed with a brief introduction to DRMAA, its motivation and purpose. The more technical part of the presentation will cover DRMAA programming interface and DRMAA job attributes.
