1. Our lower cost registration period end on March 4 so please take advantage of these lower rates for GGF 13! GGF13 in Seoul, Korea, is being hosted by KISTI and the Grid Forum Korea. Workshops and tutorials begin on March 13 and additional workshops and group sessions will run from 14-16 March. A special ending plenary session on March 16 will wrap up the week's accomplishments and provide a glimpse of what can be expected at the GGF14 in Chicago, June 26-29.

Tutorial 1 - OGSA-DAI Developers (Time: 9am-6pm)
The UK-based "Open Grid Service Architecture - Data Access and Integration"
(OGSA-DAI) project is producing middleware components to access and
integrate data through uniform Web Services for Grid environments. This
tutorial will provide an introduction to the functional capabilities of data services as seen in the current OGSA-DAI release 5.0. In particular, we will be covering two subjects of importance to developers: the activity framework and the client toolkit.
Tutorial 2 - Distributed Resource Management Application API (Time: 9am-1:30pm) DRMAA tutorial will start with a short introduction to distributed and parallel processing. Differences and similarities to OpenMP, explicit threads, MPI, Globus toolkit GRAM, and other remote job submission realizations will be given. The introductory part will be followed with a brief introduction to DRMAA, its motivation and purpose. The more technical part of the presentation will cover DRMAA programming interface and DRMAA job attributes.
