Are there still a few people on this list? I have a children's picture book here that would make a nice addition to PG, but I have been unable to find a library record which might help confirm the date of it. Perhaps someone with access to worldcat could help. I've search in Copac (a british union catalog), the LoC catalog and Amicus (Canadian union catalog) and have not been able to find it. Title page transcription is as follows: MY / FIRST PICTURE BOOK. / WITH / THIRTY-SIX PAGES OF PICTURES / [Emblem] / PRINTED IN COLOURS BY KRONHEIM. / LONDON & NEW YORK: / GEORGE ROUTLEDGE AND SONS. Contents are: My First Alphabet The Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe The Babes in the Wood Little Bo-peep The Five little Pigs Old Mother Goose and her son Jack I believe the illustrator is Joseph Martin Kronheim, 1810-1896. Dear Sir(s), Ms. I do not know if this is an error. However, the date is up to conjecture. Therefore, I am writing you. Can you help me out in specifying the correct date ref. the following? On the internet page http://snowy.arsc.alaska.edu/gutenberg/etext06/8lbp310.txt you write that while at Oriel College the British poet and literary critic Joseph Warton, (1722-1800) wrote his poems The Enthusiast and The Dying Indian. I am presently interested in The Dying Indian. That poem was first published in 1755 in Dodsley's A Collection of Poems, IV (1755) I do now doubt the possibility that Warton wrote the poem in 1744, but I would like to know what is your source for claiming that the poem was written in 1744, when Joseph Warton was 22 years old? Perhaps ypou can refer me to an expert on the subject if it is impossible for you to clarify the answer to the question. I thank you for your time and co-operation Frederick W. Dame

I have a copy of the above book, by Molly Elliot Seawell, published by J. B. Lippincott Company. It has two copyright notices - 1916 by John Wanamaker, and 1916 by J. B. Lippincott Company. Its frontispiece is missing. If someone has this book with its frontispiece, please send me a JPG of it.. Thanks!

I have a copy of the above book, by Gustav Kobbe (e-accent), published by Thomas Y. Crowell & Co., New York. It has two sets of copyright dates - 1904 and 1905 by The Butterick Publishing Co. (Limited), and 1905 by Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. It's missing the frontispiece (Mozart) and the three illustrations facing pages 22 (Beethoven), 72 (Chopin), and 94 (Robert Schumann). Does anyone have this book, and can supply me with these four illustrations? Thanks!

I have a copy of "Contrary Mary" by Temple Bailey, copyright 1914 by The Penn Publishing Company, published by Grosset & Dunlap. The words at the end of the first line on page 163 are blurred, the last one beyond recognition. The line they're in reads: Resolutely she had conquered all(?) the(?) _____ ering agony... (this fragment is the start of the next line on the page) Can someone who has this book confirm the questioned words above, and fill in the blank?

I have a copy of "The Tin Soldier" by Temple Bailey, copyright 1918 by The Penn Publishing Company, published by Grosset & Dunlap. I discovered while scanning it that pages 129-160 inclusive are missing. They seem not to have been present when the book was bound, because there's no damage to the book, aside from almost 90 years of wear and tear. FYI - page 128 ends with "Derry's voice spoke to her,". Page 161 starts with "I haven't asked you". If anyone out there has this book, and is willing to provide images of the missing pages, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
