New OGF document in public comment: GLUE spec v2.1
Dear OGF Community: One new OGF document is now available for public comment. Please consider reading and providing feedback. Brief affirmations are very useful to demonstrate community input and support. More detailed analysis is, of course, welcome. * GLUE Specification v2.1 https://redmine.ogf.org/projects/editor-pubcom/boards/43 ( https://redmine.ogf.org/projects/editor-pubcom/boards/43) This is a Recommendation Track document, with a 60-day public comment period. When published, it will obsoletes GFD #147 Abstract: The GLUE specification is an information model for Grid entities described using the natural language and UML Class Diagrams. As a conceptual model, it is designed to be independent from the concrete data models adopted for its implementation. This document defines the GLUE 2.1 model by extending the GLUE 2.0 model to include Cloud resources and services. Rendering to concrete data models such XML Schema, LDAP Schema and SQL are provided in a separate document. Note that public comments are received via the Open Grid Forum Redmine instance. When published, it will obsolete GFD #s 174 and 207. Abstract: This document provides a definition of a standard Data Format Description Language (DFDL). This language allows description of text, dense binary, and legacy data formats in a vendor-neutral declarative manner. DFDL is an extension to the XML Schema Description Language (XSD). This is the first public comment period for which we are utilizing a new github-based workflow. Public comments may be submitted as "issues" via the github link above.
