Xu Abstract: This document describes Web Services Agreement Specification (WS-Agreement), a Web Services protocol for establishing agreement between two parties, such as between a service provider and consumer, using an extensible XML language for specifying the nature of the agreement, and agreement templates to facilitate discovery of compatible agreement parties. The specification consists of three parts which may be used in a composable manner: a schema for specifying an agreement, a schema for specifying an agreement template, and a set of port types and operations for managing agreement life-cycle, including creation, expiration, and monitoring of agreement states. Pulsipher Abstract: The OGSA EMS (execution management services) architecture defines a number of services and XML document types. To illustrate their combined use a set of scenarios is described in this document. The scenarios cover basic job submission, selection of resources, and deployment of resources. The emphasis is on using already published specifications, or specifications in the last stages of approval. In all scenarios a list of required specifications is included. Haas Abstract: This document describes experiences in the implementation of the Distributed Resource Management Application API (DRMAA) specification for the N1 Grid Engine workload management system. The document reports about issues that where identified during implementation and test of the DRMAA C library for N1 Grid Engine, which was evaluated successfully with the DRMAA working group compliance test for C bindings.
