OGF19 Sessions - Call For Participation

The leaders of the following three OGF19 sessions are actively seeking additional support from the OGF community. If you are interested in contributing to and/or participating in any of these sessions, please see the appropriate contact listed below. ------------------------------------- SOA: What Do Users Need to Know? Wednesday, January 31 9:00 - 10:30 AM <http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=508> http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=508 This workshop will evaluate and refine specifications for SOA "Predictive Metrics" -- measures (characteristics of the application and technology) that can be made early in the life cycle based on models of the system (technology and applications) and will influence success in later stages. For more information and to send contributions, contact John Salasin <mailto:jsalasin@nist.gov> jsalasin@nist.gov ------------------------------ Second OGF Workshop On Reliability and Robustness in Grid Computing Systems Wednesday, January 31 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM <http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=488> http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=488 Grid computing systems based on emerging Web Service and Grid standards will need to achieve levels of reliability and robustness necessary for enterprise applications in industry and science. This workshop seeks to bring together researchers and engineers whose organizations are actively addressing these concerns to share experiences and to describe their research in order to facilitate better understanding of grid reliability issues and requirements. For more information, see http://gridreliability.nist.gov/RRworkshopCallForChapelHill.htm or contact Christopher Dabrowski cdabrowski@nist.gov ----------------------------- OGF Diversity Panel Thursday, February 1 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM <http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=513> http://www.ogf.org/gf/event_schedule/index.php?id=513 This panel will discuss ways to help OGF identify, obtain and retain members of diverse populations (people of color and women).
