Dear OGF and OSG participants:
Please take note of the information below. We’ve decided to extend the due date for the CASC survey to next Tuesday, March 16th. As of this afternoon we have received a total of 57 institutional responses, slightly higher than last year, and we would very much like to have as broad as possible a survey sample.
Following up on previous surveys in 2019 and 2020, the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation (CASC) has launched the third in its series of longitudinal surveys
on resource funding and usage for academic research computing and data (RCD). Responding to feedback, the survey coordination group has revised the questions significantly to be less ambiguous and to require less time to complete compared to prior years.
We are looking forward to responses from both CASC member institutions and non-CASC institutions, and to receive responses from a wide variety of institutions, if possible world-wide. The preference is to receive at least one authoritative response from each
institution to the survey, although individual responses are also acceptable. We would appreciate you working with your colleagues to complete this important survey before the due date of March 9, 2021, and also your assistance in forwarding this message
and/or circulating the link to other mailing lists and institutions to get the best possible response.
The survey link is https://go.osu.edu/CASCsurvey and
the results of previous surveys are summarized in an open-access paper at https://dl.acm.org/doi/fullHtml/10.1145/3311790.3396642 for your
reference and convenience.
Please help us distribute this survey widely to obtain the greatest possible response.
Thanks!
