(These meetings will extend beyond the March 23-26 scheduled range of the GEC by one day through March 27 to minimize conflict with the main conference and allow for additional discussion). Space will be available for other OGF groups who want to meet at this event. We strongly encourage attendance by those interested in security, authorization, authentication and access topics, and those involved in the OCCI or other API design areas who could help the groups work on refining aspects of network design that relate to or depend on these topics. This combined set of conferences will take place at the Hilton Crystal City, just a short shuttle ride away from the Washington DC Reagan National Airport, with plans for a developer-oriented reception at GWU and other opportunities for developers in addition to those interested in protocol and API design. OGF 44 will be in May in Lisbon, as mentioned in previous messages. Meanwhile we encourage you to register now and to plan to attend the above event, which is looking to be a premier event for those interested in advanced networking topics. This is also announced the in a news item: http://www.egi.eu/news-and-media/newsfeed/news_2015_003.html This means that registration is available for both OGF 43 March 25-27 co-located with the GENI Engineering Conference March 23-26, 2015 in the Washington, D.C. area and for OGF 44 May 21-22 co-located with the EGI spring conference May 18-22 in Lisbon. We encourage all active and any new proposed OGF groups to meet at one or both of these conferences. Please redistribute the links above to your colleagues and encourage any prospective attendees to benefit from the early-bird registration fee (available until 5 April<x-apple-data-detectors://2>). It is widely believed that the whole space of Clouds, Grids, and the Intercloud will federate and eventually converge. Looking even further backwards, there are lessons to be learned from the early Internet work as well as Mobile Telephony. Looking forwards, Cloud Federation Management as well as SDN are both key to making this happen. This workshop aims at providing a forum to bring together researchers for sharing and exchanging Cloud computing related research, technologies, experience, and lessons for building Clouds with Intercloud, Multicloud, Federation, and Interoperability capabilities, standards, services, and management techniques. The main theme of ISGC 2015 is “Global e-Infrastructure for Global Challenges”. Nowadays, the world is facing complex and global challenges in climate, health, energy, safety that impact whole populations and that are not restricted by country borders. Being of continental or even transcontinental size, these challenges can be tackled only through collaboration between multiple user communities, crossing nations and regions. As a reminder, OGF’s first event in 2015 will be OGF 43<https://www.ogf.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/events/ogf-43>, to take place March 25-27, 2015 co-located with the GENI Engineering Conference and Ignite Application Summit<http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC22Agenda> that will be held March 23-26, 2015 at the Hilton Crystal City Hotel at Washington Reagan National Airport in Crystal City, Virginia near Washington DC, USA. The OGF group meetings will run from Wednesday through Friday and will highlight mutual topics between the networking, security, applications and API design communities. For details keep an eye on the OGF 43 pages in the OGF web site at http://www.ogf.org and for information on GEC registration and local logistics, please visit the conference home page at http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC22Agenda. We will be following with specific OGF meeting information as soon as it is available.
