The initial rate quoted on the website for the Courtyard Marriott was a typo -- the lodging information at http://www.ogf.org/OGF37/lodging.php have been updated. Furthermore, we have also been informed that the reservation links for the Courtyard Marriott's registration page was not working. We contacted the representatives at Courtyard Marriott and were told that this was due to the fact that the cutoff date for the discounted block of rooms was extended to February 20th 2013 and their system seems to have malfunctioned. They assure us that they will look into it and fix the links accordingly. We will keep you up to date with any further progress. Call for Tutorials OGF37: University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, March 11-13 2013. OGF is accepting proposals for tutorials that will give OGF37 attendees the opportunity to explore a wide variety of important topics related to cluster, cloud and grid computing and other related aspects. Proposals must include: 1. Title and Presenter(s) 2. Abstract (200 words max) 3. Intended audience (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 4. Detailed description (3 pages maximum) 5. Statement on if this tutorial has been given before and if so how this presentation will be different. 6. Resume or Curriculum Vitae for each presenter (2 page maximum each) 7. Call for Demonstrations The organizers of OGF 37 invite software teams to demonstrate cloud and grid infrastructures, software systems, and applications at the Open Grid Forum 37, March 11-13 in Charlottesville Virginia. These 75-minute demonstrations will be held concurrently on Tuesday, March 12. During the demonstration period, each team will give its presentation three times, with a 5 minute break between sessions. Participants will attend a demonstration of their choice for twenty minutes, have five minutes to move to another demonstration, see a second demonstration, and then move again to observe a third demonstration. This format will allow attendees to see three different demonstrations and will give demonstrators a reasonable period of time to present their project. Each demonstration team will be provided with a conference room (small rooms hold 10, larger ones 15), projection system, Ethernet, and Polycom phone system if needed. To apply for a demonstration slot, please send a half-page abstract by February 15, 2013 to glc2z(a)virginia.edu. The abstract should clearly state the problem the software addresses, the OGF standards, if any, that are supported, and what attendees can expect to learn. Gina L. Greetings from Charlottesville! That time of the year is almost here! Open Grid Forum’s 37th conference, the first one of 2013, will be held March 11-13 at the University of Virginia Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. For those of you that have already registered, we are looking forward to welcoming you all to Charlottesville and to another OGF event. For those of you that haven’t registered, we just wanted to remind you that the early registration deadline is fast approaching and will close on Saturday 9th February, 2013. As a reminder, advance registration runs from January 2 to February 9, 2013 for Open Grid Forum 37, to take place March 11-13, 2013 at the The University Of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Link: http://ogf.org/OGF37/registration.php Registration is still certainly possible after this date, but becomes, of course, increasingly expensive with time, so we encourage you to REGISTER EARLY to get the best possible rate. The Call for Session Proposals is still open, but will close shortly so that we can publish the agenda as promised in mid-February limited in accuracy ONLY by receipt of accurate session proposal requests from each of the community and working groups.
