The intended audience for this specification are DRMAA language binding designers, DRM system vendors, high-level API designers and meta-scheduler architects. Via SAGA-WG Abstract: This document specifies an Information System Navigator API extension to the Simple API for Grid Applications (SAGA), a high level, application-oriented API for grid application development. This Information System Navigator API is motivated by a number of Use Cases collected by the OGF SAGA Research Group in GFD.70, and by requirements derived from those Use Cases, as specified in GFD.71. The goal is to help building a community for those responsible for operating clouds and cloud testbeds, as well as those interested in designing new cloud services. The Workshop is co-sponsored by the Open Cirrus Consortium and the Open Cloud Consortium, and FutureGrid. Paper Format Full papers (a maximum of 6 pages in the two-column ACM proceedings format) are invited on a wide variety of topics relating to federated clouds and their application. Submitted papers must be original work, and may not be under consideration for another conference or journal. Complete formatting and submission instructions can be found on the workshop web site. Just a quick reminder to all work groups: Don't forget to register for OGF 35 in Delft, and the pre-event Cloud Plugfest the preceding Thursday through Saturday in Amsterdam at the Science Park! OGF35 Technical University Delft Delft, Netherlands June 17-19, 2012 OGF 35 (June 17-19, 2012) will be co-located with the HPDC 2012 conference (June 18-22) in Delft, Netherlands. Every effort will be made to schedule group meetings at times most convenient for each group keeping in mind the overall schedule of the conference. All OGF working groups are encouraged to meet at OGF 35 and to participate actively in the co-located workshops and conference events. The OGF35 Schedule is available here Register Now for OGF35! About Cloud Plugfests: The Cloud Interoperability Plugfest series (or "Cloud Plugfests" for short) originated out of community-based interoperability efforts and was selected by the OGF and SNIA in 2011 as a method to exchange information and to encourage interoperability on implementations of relevant cloud standards. It has since expanded to include a variety of support tools provided by these organizations and by ETSI to support the community. The Cloud Plugfest series is open to participation by other standards organizations, individual developers, and software framework projects. Space will be provided on this site upon request for links to information on any effort designed to promote interoperability and the adoption of cloud standards for the betterment of the cloud standards ecosystem. Dear OGF working group members, Pursuant to our liaison relationship and work register, DMTF has asked us to distribute the following information about their annual academic alliance workshop. 6th International DMTF Academic Alliance Workshop on Systems and Virtualization Management: Standards and the Cloud 26 October 2012 Las Vegas, Nevada USA http://dmtf.org/svm12 This conference will occur approximately two weeks after our own OGF36 (Chicago, IL USA, October 8-10, 2012), which will be held, according to current plans, in conjunction with eScience 2012 with workshops (including the Microsoft eScience Workshop) on 8-9 October and the main conference events on 10-12 October. Venue details are still being settled. http://www.ogf.org/OGF36/ http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/escience2012/ Regarding DMTF and SVM12, please note that academic membership including participation in one DMTF working group is available at no cost upon application to individual academic members. The attached file contains the minimal information needed to request academic membership. DMTF continues to make progress towards publication of CIMI, its cloud infrastructure management interface, which is closely related to OCCI in principle. We continue to look for volunteers within the OGF community who are willing to spend time comparing the published features of CIMI with OCCI for the benefit of both communities.
