Several documents are now in public comment. Due to some problems
with the Gridforge trackers, we will be extending a few public comment
periods to allow sufficient time for comments.
Please consider reading these documents, and providing your comments
to the document authors via the link provided for each document.
Brief comments are welcome, not only detailed analysis. Public
comments are an excellent indication of community interest and support
for a document. A few more document are being processed, and

Subject: OGF Board of Directors Nominations
Dear All,
As a follow-up to last week's Town Hall meeting at OGF23, I wanted to remind
you of the very important process being launched to re-populate At-Large
seats on our Board of Directors. As a community, you have the ability to
play an important part in the process. Previously only Platinum and Gold
organizational members were able to nominate individuals for At-Large seats
but we are now soliciting nominations from the entire community.
Three at-large Director terms will expire in July; Charlie Catlett from
Argonne National Laboratory, Paul Strong from eBay, and Hiro Kishimoto from
Fujitsu. As a result of their term expiration, we will be filling their
seats at the next Board meeting.
We are currently holding an open call for nominations and you may nominate
anyone involved in OGF (i.e., individual member or employee of an
organization member) except from a Platinum member, whose representatives
sit as organizational Directors on the Board. If you are unsure whether a
potential nominee is a member or not, go ahead and submit the name and the
OGF staff will perform the necessary check.
There are two items to note while you are considering nominees. First, the
bylaws indicate that At-Large Board members are intended to represent the
broad community (of members and non-members), not their own organizations.
Secondly, the bylaws do not rule out consecutive terms, so the outgoing
Board members above may be re-nominated for a new term.
The nomination website will remain open until June 20
(http://www.ogf.org/bod_election/nomination.php) Time is short so please
take a moment and submit a few names for consideration by the Board. Please
let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
Best regards,
Julie Wulf-Knoerzer
