OGF28 - and URs for storage accounting

Hi Andrea, I've just started to think about storage accounting and so am glad to see your posts. I must admit that I've not got much further than seeing an increasing need for it as of yet. I am assuming much has been done that I am not aware of and I'd like to have a chance to catch up. If there's no official ur-wg session in Munich I'd be very grateful if we could get together during one of the coffee/lunch sessions to talk about this. cheers John -- +------------------------------------------------------------+ |Dr. John Alan Kennedy Rechenzentrum Garching (RZG) | |Mail: jkennedy@rzg.mpg.de Boltzmannstrasse 2 | |Phone: +49 89 3299 2694 85748 Garching | |Fax: +49 89 3299 1301 | +------------------------------------------------------------+

Hi John, I've sent some email to this WG in the last weeks and what came out is that there is some interest in the subject but almost nothing has been done up to now and seems that there is also some lack of manpower. Personally I'm starting to check what could be needed and what is already present it the actual definition of UR. I checked the schedule for Munich and I haven't seen any session. And no answer here up to now. So I really doubt that there will be anything. I haven't planned yet to come to Munich but if I'll be there we can certainly meet and discuss the subject. Cheers, Andrea john alan kennedy wrote:

Hi Andrea, I'm based in Munich so will obviously be attending the OGF meeting. If you are in Munich it would be good to talk. If not I would be happy to swap some mails etc about this. I'm interested in seeing what's there and how this evolves and can give some of my time to this. cheers John Andrea Cristofori wrote:

Hi John, Of course we can exchange some email or even discuss a bit via skype. I started to have a look to the different proprieties defined in the UR and to see how they can map, how they can be extended and if some more property should be added. Have you already started working on some aspect? Have you already worked in the definition of the UR? Cheers Andrea On 02/23/2010 10:11 AM, john alan kennedy wrote:
