Hi Stephen, Emails are archived as usual. But at this moment, archive server and web front server are not collocated. Joel is working on this and I hope to fix in the near future. Thanks, ---- Hiro Kishimoto Stephen M Pickles wrote:
The last month of email aren't appearing in the archives for any GGF working group, as far as I can tell.
I'll ask.

Laura,
we have post the AAR document for discussion but I still do not understand the logical of the email archieve:
http://www.psc.edu/~lfm/PSC/Grid/UR-WG/ click on "mailing list: View by Date", and get a error (Firefox can't find the server at www-unix.gridforum.org). Then I change the url to http://www.gridforum.org/mail_archive/ur-wg/maillist.html but get only a list of mail archive upto June 2006.
I do not see any emails for July (which should have been sent)? Sorry about these basic question...
cheers akram

Akram -
GGF just recently upgraded the gridforge website. It looks like they have not yet integrated the old email archives into the new site. I'll follow up with the GGF technology team to figure out what's up.
For now, you can find the archives anchored at http://www.psc.edu/~lfm/PSC/Grid/UR-WG/, listed on the Administrivia side of the page. This website also has links to all of the previous documents and concall notes.
Thx LM

Thanks for including me in this discussion.
The topic of an aggregate accounting record is being discussed in the Usage Record Working group. Donal Fellows (of Manchester University in the UK) is working on version 2 of the UR specification, which is intended to be more conducive to aggregation than the original specification (version 1) was. I would like to continue discussion of the AAR with you and anyone you're working with, within the context of the Usage Record Working Group. I have included the UR-WG on this email. Could you please bring us up to date on what you've been working on and what your plans are? Also, if you have a draft of this document, please pass it on to the group. Thx LM

Hi Xiaoyu,
if its an document which goes into the UR-WG project, you don't need to create a new project (that is what you did). You should do:
- login to grid forge http://forge.ggf.org/ - go to the project home http://forge.ggf.org/sf/projects/ur-wg - click on the 'Document' toll tab (top) - select the right folder the doc should go to - select 'Create' to create a document entry, and upload the document.
To upload documents, you need to be a member of the group. As you were not group member, I made you one (you have two SF logins, xchen and x_chen, I picked xchen).
I Cc Laura McGinnis, who chairs the group. Laura, is that ok?
Hope that helps,
Andre.
