I support you doing this (you might even be able to "reserve" an empty spot by asking Joel Replogle nicely). The reasons why there isn't an official meeting is simply: a) I knew I wasn't coming (I'm teaching that week, and funding is tricky right now) b) I didn't know that other people wanted a meeting. If I'd known in time, I'd have put in a request with someone else being the on-site leader. :-) Do get together and talk! And do ask Joel if he can help with finding somewhere to do it; he's a nice guy and helpful too. Donal.
