From: eclipse.org-membership-at-large-bounces@eclipse.org [mailto:eclipse.org-membership-at-large-bounces@eclipse.org] On Behalf Of Anne Jacko Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 9:41 AM To: eclipse.org-committers@eclipse.org; eclipse.org-membership-at-large@eclipse.org Subject: [eclipse.org-membership-at-large] Eclipse project declaration Declaration for the g-Eclipse Project The g-Eclipse project is a proposed open-source project under the Eclipse Technology top-level project. A proposal has been written to solicit additional participation and input from the Eclipse community: http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/g-eclipse/. Grid infrastructures are becoming the backbone of those fields of science and research that need to solve complex computational problems. However, the complexity of Grid infrastructures is often discouraging to new and inexperienced users and impedes the use of Grid technologies in new application domains. The g-Eclipse project will provide an integrated Grid enabled environment based on Eclipse that aims at facilitating the use of Grid infrastructures. You are invited to comment and/or join the project. Please send all feedback to the news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.technology.g-eclipse news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.modeling.mdt newsgroup.
