Hey Dave, Here is my stab at the criteria for choosing use cases:
1) What is the degree of alignment with overall OGF objectives, goals and current technical direction?
a) Is it just an extension to what we are already doing?
b) Would it be a minor tweak in the existing direction?
c) Is there a work group that already exists that would be a natural fit?
d) What is the interest level in working on it?
2) How important and beneficial is this use case to industry?
a) How universal is it to other industries
b) Is it a top-line priority to a particular industry?
3) Do the resources exist to address it?
4) Does it exclude other industries or vendors
5) What is the magnitude (resources and time) of the effort to address?
6) How complex or risky is it?
7) What is the timeframe?
