inviting presentations for semantic grid session in Korea

Hello To get our session finalised for Korea I need to put together the agenda. Given the outreach nature of the event, and also the need to prepare for charter revisions which may include aspects of agents and of semantic web services, I propose we have at least an overview talk, a semantic web services talk and an agents talk (or aspects thereof). There will also be time for discussion. Do we have any volunteers for the presentation about aspects of agents and the grid? Or any other relevant presentations? Many thanks -- Dave

Hi Dave, I think WSMO/WSMX presentation will also give an overview of semantic web services. OR Should we keep them separate? Kashif That's good - I was hoping it would :-) So what we need is an agents volunteer. We could have a general talk on agents and the grid, or pull out one or more specific aspects such as negotiation, autonomic, virtual orgs... I met with Jon Dale at Fujitsu last Friday about agents and the grid. Unfortunately he has a clash with another event but he intends to come to a subsequent GGF (the following two will be in the US). are you looking for a speaker or material? Was wondering if this is something though which we could work an AgentLink angle??? Terry On 18 Jan 2005, at 10:53, David De Roure wrote:

Hello, This is Michiharu Takemoto, working for NTT, Japan.
Do we have any volunteers for the presentation about aspects of agents and the grid? Or any other relevant presentations?
We are now studying service coordination over ubiquitous computing environments like Web-service coordination. We adopted the semantic information expression for the service fragments (or elements) and the service design (or template). Numerical computing is out of scope of our current research. But, I believe, service-coordination is included in the grid computing area. Our service-coordination engine is using semantic information to bind the service fragments (or elements) with ontology-tree. But the current mechanism is so poor that we cannot say that our study is in the agent area. Is our research suitable for semantic grid? At 05/01/18 10:46, David De Roure wrote:
