Boston - USA November 13, 2012 *************************************************************** The Semantic Web (and Linked Data) has been an active area of research for several years. This 11th edition of the International Semantic Web Conference introduces the Journal Workshop Session. In this session participants will discuss sketches of their papers with editors and editorial board members of the top Semantic Web journals as well as other workshop participants. The goal is to help attendees to turn the sketches into successful submissions and avoid common stumbling blocks. People who wish to participate will be asked to submit a paper sketch (see below). The accepted sketeches will be read by the editors and the other chosen participants prior the workshop. Prior to the workshop, participants whose sketches have been accepted to will receive one to three other sketches to read and review. During the workshop, participants will meet in small groups which includes an editorial board memeber. During this discussion, participants will receive specific feedback on on the possible issues to address in order to turn the sketch into a possibly successful submission. Submission Information ********************* Selection for the Journal Workshop Session is competitive. Hence, prospective Journal Workshop Session are requested to submit paper sketches no more than 4 pages (LNCS format) that address the following issues: What is the contribution of the paper? What problem are you trying to solve? What is your hypothesis? Why should we care about the contribution? If applicable: How have others attempted to address this contribution in the past ? How are you planning to fulfill your goal? What is the procedure by which you are going to contribute (theory, framework building, hypothesis development, etc). How will you measure your success? Proofs, experiments, etc. Are there any specific problems you have with your current paper design?
