Folks, I am sorry but it looks like I was not prepared to start with the regular calls "right away" after Banff. I am sorry that this was the reason that the VU did not call in... Before we miss even more calls: when will be the next one? This week? Next week? Regards, Thilo -- Thilo Kielmann http://www.cs.vu.nl/~kielmann/

Good to know its only scheduling problems :-)

Correct. This weel is the DRMAA call, next week its SAGA again. So, lets put Python on the agenda again, and possibly advert? BTW, Thilo: would it be possible to get access to the python-cpp wrapper which sits between your bindings and our implementation? Best, Andre.

Andre, folks, I assume the next SAGA phone call will be tomorrow (wed, Nov 4?) Can someone please confirm, send an agenda and call-in details? Thanks! Thilo On Tue, Oct 27, 2009 at 03:48:09PM +0100, Andre Merzky wrote:

Sorry for sloppiness! Yes, next call is tomorrow at 10pm CET (3pm Central). Dial-in details are: +1-225-578-4942 (international) 866-573-0359 (US, toll free) conference-id: 118682 For an agenda: I think we will just carry on where we stopped last time: - discussion of python bindings (depending on participation) - discussion of advert extension (depending on participation) So, if you guys can call in, Python bindings are the top priority. Any other items? Thanks, Andre.

Hi all, as the last call did not really happen, we will try to work through the agenda today. Additionally, we could try to cover the CPR package - epending if Derick and Nathan can make the call (but I seem to remember they are occupied at SC09). Cheers, Andre. Hi all, below are the notes from todays call. Next call in two weeks, same time. The phone line quality today was very bad. Also, we had 4 callers from Europe which pinged back and forth over the pond, which did not help. We may switch phone bridge if the problems continue. Best, Andre. SAGA-WG Call Notes ------------------ - When: Wed Nov 18, 2009, 22:00 CET - Who : Andre, Steve, Manuel, Thilo - What: - python bindings - agreement with Mathijs' proposal for buffers -> no buffer in py-2, may be added in py-3 - focus on py-2 bindings for now - py-3 is not backw. compatible to py-2, so bindings don't need to be either - discussion: should fwd ref to py-3 buffers be included? Possibly, but no committment to actually adding buffers in py-3. - errata document should be declared stable, so that py bindings can really rely on it (TODO ANDRE) - include SD extension in py bindings? - in binding yes, impl is different question - new bindings should always cover all approved APIs - diff of VU/CCT bindings: should be started ASAP (TODO MANUEL - thanks!) - advert: - to be discussed at next call, doc to be circulated before (TODO ANDRE) Quoting [Andre Merzky] (Nov 18 2009):
