Hi, I'm looking at the final GFD.90 document: A Simple API for Grid Applications (SAGA) I'm wondering where the difference between the following two methods of a task_container are (p. 170/171): - list_tasks() -- List the tasks in the task container (out array<task>) - get_tasks() -- Get the tasks in the task container (out array<task>) Cheers, Ole

Hi,
I'm looking at the final GFD.90 document: A Simple API for Grid Applications (SAGA)
I'm wondering where the difference between the following two methods of a task_container are (p. 170/171):
- list_tasks() -- List the tasks in the task container (out array<task>) - get_tasks() -- Get the tasks in the task container (out array<task>)
Yes, that is an error, caused by a remenant of an earlier rendering of the task API, where list_task used to return cookie IDs of task instead of task instances. The problem was noted by others (Ceriel) before, but we did not see the urge for another errata revision of the spec, yet. Thanks, Andre.
Cheers, Ole
