Hi, I have gone through the comments made in the public comment period and arranged them and subsequent discussions between Andre and myself into a page of HTML which is attached. For some issues - e.g. typos - the solution is obvious so I marked these as green. Other issues with a suggested resolution are marked yellow - and I would like feedback on these - i.e. do you agree or not. Others have no suggested resolution - typically where Andre and I disagree - we need input on those. I will send round the web page periodically as it is revised until it is all a delightful shade of green. I will then consult those who made the comments to make sure they are happy. Please send your comments to the list in plain text - I don't want to merge HTML files. Steve

Hosted applications

Hi, My apologies if this is referring to an old discussion, but here goes ... UNICORE supports the concept of an "abstract" hosted application. This means that an application is installed on a remote execution host, and can be referred to via a name, rather than a path to the executable. Question about SAGA features

Dear all, Sorry if my question seems a little bit tedious here... I'm currently evaluating several Grid API, whatever they come from proprietary middleware or from OGF standards. In the document SAGA-RG/Related_APIs/related.txt, which can be found on the CVS repository of SAGA, there is a feature matrix for frameworks, where several items are compared (e.g. DRMAA, JSDL, GFS, SRM, etc.). My question is: What about SAGA with regard to all the criteria you are using to do the comparison ? Does SAGA provide means for all the criteria provided in the feature matrix, which are: Resource management Job Management Data Access Data Management Data bases ... etc. Thank you in advance.
