Thanks for the clarification David. Putting it another way UDDI can still be used, but a separate claim for conformance should reference WS_I basic profile rather ogsa-wsrf-basic-profile. Discovery is part of the information services capabilities and it will be covered there. However there are many aspects of discovery. For web services in general I don't see why we should exclude UDDI. In general OGSA should not prohibit already accepted and agreed upon standards. So the use of UDI should be left as an option. For Grid resources (that are not web services) OGSA needs additional mechanisms along the lines of GMA and INFOD.
