A thought crossed my mind after we dropped off from the call. With reference to CIM and Grid, what is the status of the Grid Schema WG? As I understood it (I think from Carl K) they were to apply CIM to execution and monitoring of Grid jobs. Maybe they have some useful stuff that we can "proudly plagiarize" for the F2F discussion.

The CGS-WG (CIM Grid Schema WG) and the CMM-WG merged and became the Resource Management design team. Which means that both working groups closed but are still active :-). Tom Roney (one of the CGS-WG chairs) participates in the resource management design team. What you are talking about is JSIM (Job Submission Information Model). It has just been incorporated in CIM 2.10, just released, and be sure that we will "proudly plagiarize" its classes in time (if we haven't done so already). BTW, the work on SRIM (Software Resource Information Model), which CGS-WG was doing when it closed, is now being done at the DAIS-WG collaborating directly with the DMTF. In fact, Tom Roney believes that this is a better way of collaborating with the DMTF, instead of going through the CGS-WG. Regards, Fred Maciel Hitachi America R&D
