Hi,
* Basic Security Profile discussion
- Agreed with proposal outlined in the email sent by Andreas to the list: separate out portions of the 'Secure channel' in a new Basic secure profile.
- Takuya is working on removing those parts out of the Secure Channel and he will prepare a new draft this week. - Takuya will also prepare the new Basic security profile document
- These drafts are not ready so their review is postponed for future calls. (The secure channel may be reviewed Wednesday if ready.)
The revised version of the Secure Channel profile is now on the grid forge. The URL is: https://forge.gridforum.org/projects/ogsa-wg/document/draft-ggf-ogsa-basic-s... The changes are: * abstract revised it - to remove dependency to security token stuffs - to add a clarification that this profile only focuses on mutual authn, integirity and confidentiality of WS communication - to add a reference to ogsa basic profile * 3 dots in section 1.1 revised it to make it clearer what the profile is doing * section 1.2 a reference to ogsa basic security profile is added. it is mentioned that the secure channel profile should be used in conjunction with one of ogsa basic profiles and ogsa basic security profile. the ogsa basic security profile is mentioned that it addresses security issues which are common to all the ogsa services, such as security token format. * section 1.3 the reference to WSSE is removeed from the Table * section 2.1 targets related to WSSE are revoed from the list * chapter 3 statements related to keyinfo exchange and security token are removed The Basic Security Profile is not ready. Hopefully, it will become ready within one or two weeks. Thanks, Takuya
