Participants have the opportunity to submit technical papers for publication, organize workshops for individual projects or for the clustering of projects without papers, to display brochures, posters and prototypes in informal exposition areas (free of charge), or participate without a particular submission to the various sessions, workshops and networking opportunities. Each year, representatives of the European Commission have attended to hold contractor workshops, brief upcoming call topics, or present various initiatives of the European Framework Programme.

It is a pleasure to welcome you again in Aix-les-Bains, the French Riviera of the Alps. You‘ll have the opportunity to discover the French National Solar Energy Institute. SP2020 will take place within the new building of the engineering school Polytech Annecy-Chambery. We’ll also organize a scientific school the week after Sustainable Places. I hope you will enjoy the event and I look forward to meeting all of you in June !

The new Chambery site of Polytech (2 Avenue du lac d'Annecy, 73370 Le Bourget-du-Lac), the engineering school of Savoie Mont Blanc University, will be the primary venue location for all SP2020 project meetings, parallel sessions or locations for special requests / events.
Just a few steps away from Polytech is the landmark Helios building of INES where the SP2020 catering and networking opportunities will be held (50 Avenue du Lac Léman, 73370 Le Bourget-du-Lac).
We invite everyone to make the most of Sustainable Places 2020. Rooms for special requests, project meetings (public/private), or events are offered free of charge all week.

Should contributors wish to be considered for a full-length (7-9 pages) journal submission, they should check the appropriate CfP application option.

All contribution types (e.g. posters, workshops, presentations, etc.) can write a 3-4 page summary to be included in the SP2020 Proceedings edition.
