Hello all. I am a research assistant at the Computing Department in Lancaster University, UK. I am working on the EC-GIN project, which was introduced by Sven Hessler during the GHPN session at OGF20. Europe-China Grid InterNetworking (EC-GIN) is an EU-funded project* concerned with improving the network ability to support Grid applications and services. One of the first tasks as part of the project is to study Grid applications that have been used or are currently being used in the field of e-science as well as other fields. We wish to come up with an analysis of the network demands and behavior of these applications. For this purpose, we have put together a short questionnaire (14 questions). It is aimed at collecting information about the network requirements of grid applications as perceived by application designers, developers, and administrators. As Sven mentioned in his presentation, we are seeking your cooperation by answering the questionnaire, which can be done in one of the two following ways: 1.
