Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Croatia section *ICCNS 2024 CFP:* With the advancements in wireless communication systems like Fifth Generation (5G), beyond 5G (B5G) and the Sixth Generation (6G), new and unprecedent services will be available for users with nearly unlimited capacity. These services will be the core driver of the future digital transformation of our cities and communities. This will be accompanied by a ubiquities deployment of the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure and supported by computing capacity that will be available at the edge of the network and at the cloud. The computing infrastructure will be handling the processing of the data generated by the users and services. Such a complex and diverse system will require an efficient and sustainable applications running on the computing\Networking infrastructure and also a smart control and automation systems to integrate and manage its different components. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications will play a significant role on the design, deployment, automation and management of the future services. This will include the applications that will be running on the edge and the cloud servers, the networking applications to handle the flow of data between the users and the computing system and the intelligent automation and management software operating on the system. The International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Networking and Services is aiming to provide an opportunity to present the state of the art research in the intersections of Computing, Networking and Services that is supported by Artificial Intelligence. Researchers from both the industry and academia are encouraged to submit their original research contributions in all major areas, which include, but not limited to: - Track 1: Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals - Track 2: Intelligent Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems - Track 3: Edge Intelligence and Federated Learning - Track 4: Intelligent Networking in Beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G Wireless Communication - Track 5: Intelligent Big Data Management and Processing - Track 6: Intelligent Security and Privacy - Track 7: Blockchain Research & Applications for Intelligent Networks and Services *Submissions Guidelines and Proceedings* Manuscripts should be prepared in 10-point font using the IEEE 8.5" x 11" two-column format. All papers should be in PDF format, and submitted electronically at Paper Submission Link. A full paper can be up to 8 pages (including all figures, tables and references). Submitted papers must present original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Also submissions received after the due date, exceeding length limit, or not appropriately structured may also not be considered. Authors may contact the Program Chair for further information or clarification. All submissions are peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers. Accepted papers will appear in the ICCNS Proceeding, and be published by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services and be submitted to IEEE Xplore for inclusion. Submitted papers must include original work, and must not be under consideration for another conference or journal. Submission of regular papers up to 8 pages and must follow the IEEE paper format. ****Call for Papers**** International Workshop on Dynamics of Disasters: Hybrid Threats (DOD 2024) to be held in conjunction with the 19th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (ARES 2024 - http://www.ares-conference.eu) July 30 - August 1, 2024, Vienna, Austria Disasters occur when hazards - both natural as well as man-made - and their corresponding risks can no longer be properly contained, leading to serious detrimental consequences in terms of loss of life, financial repercussions or devastation to infrastructure and the environment. In recent years, the rising number of disasters occurring all over the world, even affecting or threatening regions where in the past certain hazards were not so prominent, have painfully revealed that disaster preparedness as well as disaster management are not always up to par to the challenges posed by various kinds of disasters. The COVID-19 pandemic has been an especially hard test by reality for many aspects of disaster preparedness as well as operational disaster management policies, and it still impacts our lives today and will continue to do so for some time in the future. From the perspective of today, the world-wide spread and the multitude of resulting different (local and global) implications during the COVID-19 pandemic highlight the importance to consider the dynamic evolvement of a disaster, which is exactly what the DOD-series has been focused on in the past and will also be focused on in its edition in 2024. Moreover, DOD 2024 will broaden its scope and put forward the specialized theme of hybrid threats, thereby paying particular attention to new and emerging threats due to the ever growing integration as well as increasing coupling between the cyber- and physical domain. Such new and emerging threats reach farther than cyber-physical systems, which - so far - have been the prime examples for novel attacks and consequences, which can arise from both the cyber- as well as the physical domain. The impact of hybrid threats on our modern societies is profound and only increases the challenges pertaining to disaster risk, disaster management organizations and first responders. We call for (extended) abstracts and/or papers dealing with all aspects related to the dynamics of disasters, and - in particular - encourage submissions dealing with hybrid threats. We would also like to highlight that we encourage submissions addressing challenges relating to the interdisciplinary character of disaster response and disaster management. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Authors are invited to submit high-quality, original contributions for presentation at the TNT 2024 workshop. Technical papers can be of two types: * Full papers, up to 6 pages, excluding references and all other material. * Short papers, up to 4 pages, excluding references and all other material. Long papers are the more traditional form to present technical work. Long papers should emphasize not only novelty and vision, but execution and thoroughness of the contribution (design, evaluation). Short papers are the preferred vehicle for visionary, concept-type papers, or proof of concept papers whose description fits within a smaller number of pages. Papers submitted should describe original, previously unpublished research results, not currently under review by another conference or journal. Papers not meeting the length and formatting requirements or violating IEEE's guidelines on plagiarized content will be rejected without review. All submissions must be written in English and must use standard IEEE two-column conference template that can be downloaded from https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process and all manuscripts must be electronically submitted through JEMS at: https://jems3.sbc.org.br/noms_tnt2024 All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. ************************************************************************** CALL FOR DOCTORAL SYMPOSIUM PAPERS 2024 IEEE/IFIP Network Operations & Management Symposium (NOMS 2024) 6-10 May 2024 --- Seoul, South Korea https://noms2024.ieee-noms.org/call-doctoral-symposium-papers ************************************************************************** OVERVIEW The Doctoral Symposium is a concentrated half-day event that will be held during IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2024, which will be held 6-10 May 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. In it, Ph.D. students present their ongoing research interests/plans/results to a panel of researchers in the field and receive specific constructive feedback, including opportunities to meet with mentors one-on-one. We encourage students to submit research description papers that clearly motivate, discuss, and summarize their Ph.D. research. Accepted papers (four pages maximum) will be published in the conference proceedings and be included in the online IEEE/IFIP NOMS conference proceedings and archived in the IEEExplore digital library once presented by the Ph.D. students during the conference. ELIGIBILITY AND TOPICS Ideal candidates will be in the early or mid stages of their PhD and should have a solid idea of their direction and topic, but should also have room for improvement. The Doctoral Symposium welcomes applicants from a broad range of disciplines including Management of 6G Networks and Network 2030, Management of Smart Vertical Systems in the Industry 4.0 Era, Artificial Intelligence techniques for Network and Service Management, Management of Softwarized Networks, Software-Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, Service Function Chaining, VR, Cyber Security & Cyber Resiliency, Service and application management, and related fields.
