On the other hand, Information-Centric Networking (ICN), software-defined network (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), network slicing, and data center network have emerged as the novel networking paradigms for fast and efficient delivering and retrieving data. Against this backdrop, there is a strong trend to move the computations from the cloud to not only the edges but also the resource-sufficient networking nodes, which triggers the convergence between the emerging networking concepts and the new computation technologies. The ultimate goals for networking researches include intelligence, trust, and efficiency, which can be enhanced by or benefit for the intelligent computations. There are many open challenges for the emerging network concepts to meet the intelligent computations: what computations should be embedded; which node should be enforced with the computation; how can the computations, such as big data analytics, security, AI, machine learning, blockchain, be seamlessly embedded into the network and enable it to be efficient, trustworthy and accountable; how to fast locate the required and suitable computation nodes; how to efficiently transfer data through series of computation nodes; how to efficiently collect and process the big networking data; how to design networking architectures and protocols to easily support the efficient and diverse computations; how to achieve ultra-low latency communications with distributed computations; and how to migrate from the Internet to the computation-enabled network. The NMIC workshop 2020 solicits the papers that address the technical challenges and applications of the distributed computations for networking, the intelligent computations supported by the novel networking technologies, and the enforcement of series of computations. We envision that the combination of computations with networking will provide more effective computation support for applications and enable the network to be more intelligent, trustworthy, and efficient. Kui has published more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and received several Best Paper Awards, including ACM AsiaCCS’18, IEEE ICDCS'17, IWQoS'17, and ICNP'11. Call for Workshop and Special Session Proposals The IEEE Blockchain 2020 workshops and special sessions provide vibrant opportunities for academic researchers and industry practitioners to share their research experiences, original research achievements and practical development products on specific new challenges and emerging issues related to Blockchain. The themes of the Blockchain 2020 workshops and special sessions should be related to the scopes of the main conference, reflecting to advances in all aspects of blockchain. The organizers of the workshops and special sessions shall have responsibility of soliciting call for papers, forming program committee to review and select papers as well as planning workshop/session program. The registration fees for workshops and special sessions will be determined by and paid to the main conference other than the workshops or sessions. The main conference will provide workshop/session facilities including the working notes printing, meeting rooms, coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, proceedings, etc. The proceedings of the IEEE Blockchain 2020 workshops and special sessions will be published by in IEEE CPS proceedings (EI Indexed) and collected by IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Prospective Workshop Organizers should send a proposal containing the following information to IEEE Blockchain 2020 Workshop Chairs via email by Feb. 15, 2020: - Title of the workshop/session (Full name and Abbreviation) - Objectives, scope, and contribution to the main conference (up to 1 page) - Short bio of the key organizers and their experience on conference/workshop organization - Procedures for selecting papers, plans for advertising call for papers, and intentions for organizing journal special issues if possible - The expected number of participants - A tentative list of program committee members - The workshop website URL address if available Approved workshops should strictly follow the Important Dates of the main conference, particularly the Author Notification Date and the Camera-ready Paper Due Date. Following the great success of IEEE Blockchain 2019, held in Atlanta, USA, IEEE Blockchain 2018, held in Halifax, Canada, the 2020 IEEE International Conference on Blockchain (Blockchain-2020) will provide a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present latest advances and innovations in key theories, infrastructure, schemes, and significant applications for the blockchain, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three reviewers. All submitted papers will be judged through double-blind reviews, where the identities of the authors are withheld from the reviewers. As an author, you are required to preserve the anonymity of your submission, while at the same time allowing the reader to fully grasp the context of related past work, including your own. Papers that do not conform to our double-blind submission policies will be rejected without review. The IoT is about to enable a range of new capabilities and services far beyond today’s offerings. It will fundamentally change how people go about their lives. According to Gartner, the number of objects connected to the Internet is set to reach 20 billion by 2020. Cisco estimates the number will be close to 26 billion objects by 2020. Others believe the actual number will be even higher with the assumption that any object with a simple micro controller and on-off switch will be connected to the Internet in the near feature. The scale of the IoT is set to have a major economic, social and environmental impacts; the intersection of which forms the future sustainable growth. The IEEE International Workshop on Internet of Things: Networking Applications and Technologies (IoTNAT 2020) Symposium will be held in conjunction with The 5th International Conference on Fog and Mobile Edge Computing (FMEC 2020). The IoTNAT 2020 Symposium aims at soliciting original ideas on the broad area of IoT including challenges and opportunities, concepts and applications and future trends. New applications, such as virtual reality and smart building control, have emerged due to the large number of resources and services brought by cloud computing. However, the delay-sensitive applications face the problem of large latency, especially when several smart devices and objects are getting involved in human’s life such as the case of smart cities or Internet of Things. Therefore, cloud computing is unable to meet the requirements of low latency, location awareness, and mobility support. To solve this problem, researchers have introduced a trusted and dependable solution through the Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing (FMEC) to put the services and resources of the cloud closer to users, which facilitates the leveraging of available services and resources in the edge networks. By this, we are moving from the core (cloud data centers) to the edge of the network closer to the users. FMEC dependability is based on providing user centric service. The purpose of Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing is to run the heavy real-time applications at the network edge directly using the billions of connected mobile devices. Several features enable the Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing to be a perfect paradigm to the aforementioned purpose, which are the dense geographical deployment of servers, supporting mobility and the closeness to users. As in every new technology, some challenges face the vision of the Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing, which are the administrative policies and security concerns (i.e. secure data storage, secure computation, network security, data privacy, usage privacy, location privacy, etc).
