The service provider can throw a fault if they detect an overlap from the data coming in from the user - or they can silently overwrite it. If they are going to be 'strict' and throw a fault, they must describe in the Application Template description what they are going to be strict about so the user does not have to do repeated job submission attempts to determine the policy by trial and error. 4.
