Re: [ogf20pc] EU presentations at OGF20/EGEE User forum
Dear Bob, Thank you for this message. I have already been contacted by the Unit for Software & Service Architectures and Infrastructures and I am looking to give them a slot on the Wednesday. For the Tuesday keynotes we are looking for users to talk about their experiences in industry and e-Science rather than higher level talks such as these. The OGF20 programme is rather full and I don't have space for another EC keynote. Given that EGEE has a large infrastructure element, perhaps the speaker from the Unit for GEANT and eInfrastructures would be more suited to a slot on Thursday? There will still be OGF20 delegates around on that day so the message will still reach them. Best wishes, Dave. _____ From: ogf20pc-bounces@ogf.org [mailto:ogf20pc-bounces@ogf.org] On Behalf Of Bob Jones Sent: 22 February 2007 09:30 To: ogf20pc@ogf.org Subject: [ogf20pc] EU presentations at OGF20/EGEE User forum Hi Dave et al., I have been contacted by the European Commission about their representation at the OGF20/EGEE User forum event. Dear Dave, if you want any help for a GEANT related speech, either from EC (e.g. Bernhard Fabianek) or GEANT itsself (e.g. NREN PC chair Vasilis Maglaris), I can contact them. BTW, Vasilis is trying to put together an amitious project on the next generation of the Internet following the PlanetLab and GENI US efforts. This might also be interesting to present together with some GEANT update. Let me know if you need any help. Kind Regards, Fotis Dave Berry wrote:

Hi Dave, I'm afraid we will have to be inventive to cover both requests. The eInfrastructure unit is very active in and has strong links with OGF. If we can get the Software unit talk on Monday or Tuesday we could squeeze the eInfrastructure talk in the plenary on Wednesday morning. Cheers, -- Erwin Dave Berry wrote:
