Community proposals summary
Dear PC members I attach a summary of the proposals we have received. I have filtered out those intended for the Grids Means Business Track and the Enterprise track. In addition, we received a couple by direct contact, which I attach. We have requests for 47 sessions and only 10 available, so clearly we are spoilt for choice. (It seems that we could have easily supported a longer event). Best wishes, Dave Berry Deputy Director, Research & E-infrastructure Development National e-Science Centre, 15 South College Street Edinburgh, EH8 9AA Tel: +44 131 651 4039
Dave, Can you please clarify... what is the process for narrowing these proposals down? Secret ballot? Or what? Dear Dave, Looking at the material you sent around this morning, I saw only one detailed workshop description - the doc-file you sent only had the titles of (30?) proposed workshops. Should we decide on the basis of this or do you have more detailed information? May I also suggest a speaker for a high-level, plenary-like talk? Stefano Beco from DATAMAT has been working with EGEE and could give a unique perspective of how his company adopted Grid technology and is using it in an industry context.
