Dear PC
members,
Some of us have been meeting over the last couple of
months to defiine the industry track for OGF20. Now that I have taken on
the role of chair for the overall event, I would like to welcome several new members who have
accepted my invitation to join the committee. I append a list of
current members.
I will be at SC06 next
week on the UK e-Science stand in the exhibition hall. If any of you are
attending the conference, you are welcome to call by and say
hello.
Plans for the overall
shape of the OGF20, including the timing of the standards, industry &
e-science tracks, colocation with the EGEE User Forum, sponsorship
opportunities, etc. are progressing. They will be discussed
further next week at SC06. The decisions made will set the framework for
our work planning the detailed content and I will plan our meetings
accordingly.
(Some of you may be
aware that a PC meeting was posited for next week; this has been replaced by the
aforementioned operations meeting. I am anxious to arrange PC meetings as
soon as possible).
Best
wishes,
Dave Berry
