Dave,
Could you please
1) move Rizos Sakellariou to e-Science
2) list me under
the Standards heading as well as
Operations?
I question whether
it's right to lump EGEE together with
OGF Staff and Local
Organising Committee under Operations,
and I suggest having a
separate heading for EGEE.
Of those listed as
belonging to the Local Organising
Committee,
Roger Barlow has the
closest relationships with EGEE, and I
anticipate that he
will have something of a dual role.
Thanks,
Stephen
Dear
PC,
We've had some
useful meetings at SC06, which have confirmed the overall structure of the
joint event, including timing of plenaries, receptions, etc., and also a draft
outline of the e-Science tracks.
I will now take
this a stage further and produce a straw man programme which will suggest
which rooms will be assigned to each track as each time. Once I've
completed this I will ask the list for comments.
There will be
calls for participation in the E-Science and Industry
programmes.
I was asked to
produce a list of PC members grouped by function - which makes sense, given
that there are a large number of us. I've grouped you into Standards,
E-Science, Industry/Enterprise, Geographical and Operational. This
is not an exact science as some members will have overlapping
concerns. Please let me know if you think you should be listed
in a different group. Subgroups may meet to discuss particular
aspects of the programme - as we've already done for the industry track - but
the whole committee will see the developing programme. In particular,
the geographical members are welcome to comment on any aspect of the programme
that affects them, as well as encouraging people from their areas to
contribute to the success of the event.
I would like to
welcome Satoshi Sekiguchi (Japan) and Max Lemke (European
Commision) to the committee.
