Overall event structure We reviewed the document sent to the PC mailing list. There was a concern that the total number of sessions for OGF is lower than at previous meetings, especially for e-Science sessions, We noted that the plans for the exhibition have evolved from what was shown on this document, although the basic idea of running from Tuesday to Thursday remains. Monday - Can we add another e-Science workshop, as the OGC workshop is primarily a standards activity? Tuesday - The first session is the only true "keynote" session for OGF20. Should it be one or two talks? Should we start at 8.30 to give more time? Wednesday - Can we remove the first Grid Means Business session, to avoid clashing with the EGEE/OGF presentations? It isn't clear that the EGEE/OGF presentations will be relevant to this audience, as these talks won't be application-oriented. Wednesday - Should we add a Glite Developer track? This would clash with the GIN activity. [Afterthought - should there be a Glite Developer track on Thursday as part of the EGEE User Forum?] Thursday - Can we add another e-Science workshop? This would clash with the EGEE user forum 2. Speaker suggestions All PC members are requested to encourage people to submit proposals for workshops and presentations. The committee's view was that we should mainly be looking for people who can speak about applications of Grid, rather than policy-makers. Some industry speakers were suggested. We discussed the structure of the first sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, as noted above. We need particularly strong speakers for these sessions. The Wednesday morning session will have one speaker from EGEE and one from OGF, describing the work that each organisation does. We should ask the heads of the respective organisations to suggest speakers for these slots. Some suggestions have been distributed via the mailing list, for which many thanks. Others will be welcome. 3. Roles of PC sub-groups The chair briefly explained the roles of the PC sub-groups. Some PC meetings (or parts of PC meetings) will be aimed at particular groups. 4. DONM & AOB The next meeting will be at the same time next week. The topic will be speakers, with the second half of the meeting focussing on the industry track. We agreed there will be a F2F PC meeting at OGF19, at 9.00 on Tuesday 30th. There was some discussion of operations practicalities, e.g. networking provision. Fotis offerred to advise the local organisers in their negotiations with the venue.
