Fwd: Last Call: draft-dusseault-http-patch (PATCH Method for HTTP) to Proposed Standard
The HTTP PATCH method (recall earlier discussion about REST "shortcuts") is
finally proceeding towards standard status. This is interesting for OCCI as
well as any other application that needs to update server-side resources but
doesn't want to send the whole entity every time. Implementations can use
their preferred diff mechanism (as identified by Internet media type) - from
plain diff for text files to XML diffs for XML, XDelta for binaries, etc.
