URI Templates specification, examples and tests now available on GitHub

Dear OCCI-WG, I hope things are going well with review of the OCCI v1.2 documents and advancement of these, now that the public comment period has been completed, to the Editor. I noticed today that the URI Templates specification completed a few months ago has now been made available on GitHub, along with collections of links to available implementations and tests: https://github.com/uri-templates/uritemplate-spec The spec itself is of course http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6570 If you are thinking of implementing URIs using OCCI that make reference to this spec and need testing for their template unpacking tools, you may want to look also at the tests available at https://github.com/uri-templates/uritemplate-test I don’t see that URI templates are required, but it seems to be increasingly accepted as good practice to make this a feature of cloud RESTful API design. See for example http://whatisrest.com/rest_service_contracts/uri_templates_and_resource_quer... and some putative cloud API design guidelines that have made it onto the Fedora and OpenStack API reference pages for example at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Cloud_APIs_REST_Style_Guide and https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/APIStyleGuide respectively (feel free to visit those and contribute updates if you are members of those communities). Thoughts are welcome, and progress on the docs and updates even more welcome! Alan

I've already allocated this weekend for OCCI v1.2 work, the plan is to make changes based on the output of the public comment and internally circulate new document versions (+ formatting clean-up, fixing typos, etc.).

I will do my best to read up on this.
