Please review the dates below and comment; also indicate in which (or all) of these OCCI WG members might be interested to participate. Our relationship with SNIA and ETSI, and hopefully soon with DMTF, on these practical hands-on workshops has been extremely valuable and has produced some significant progress in related projects and implementations, e.g. the EGI Federated Cloud and I hope soon also FutureGrid, as well as progress with our more commercially-oriented partners such as CompatibleOne. We just completed our seventh (!) in this series of Cloud Plugfests, and participation looks good for the future -- but we need all of you to speak up about what events you would like to attend and how to handle the planning process for these Cloud Plugfest events. To the latter point, I plan to request a session at OGF 37 (Mar. 11-13 in Charlottesville, VA, USA) to discuss the planning process for Cloud Plugfests and other similar OGF community external engagements. I hope you will attend, and don't forget to check out the OGF 37 planning pages at the link below to put in yyour owwn OCCI-WG session requests. http://ogf.org/ogf37 Alan P.S.: Although we were not able to get our SNIA partners to move their Technical Symposium from Austin to co-locate with us in Charlottesville this march - we did try, but planning was too advanced - we do encourage those of you who will be traveling to OGF 37 to consider going from Charlottesville to Austin the following week to participate in work on CDMI with SNIA in the context of their Technical Symposium, which will be the US site of the March 2013 Cloud Plugfest. Remote participation *is* possible and is supported if you want to work on interoperability testing in the Cloud Plugfests, and there will be other plugfest-like activities at OGF 37, as well as the planning discussion mentioned above. Please feel free to contact your WG chairs and/or Area Director Richard Hughes, or me directly if you would like to hold one, and fill out the session request in the Call for Session Requests on the OGF 37 web page.
