Dear Thijs,

please allow me a procedural remark: OGF requires that group
chairs are chosen based on group consensus.  Not that I
think that Andy would not get group approval, but next time
a chair position is replaced, it would be great if you could
group feedback *before* doing so.

FWIW I have no problem whatsoever with this nomination and given Andy's solid contributions since the start (even if not always aligned with mine) I can't think of a better person to nominate. This is particularly true given the academic position being replaced and his work with SLA@SOI (which he has always been representing rather than his employer, Intel).

If anyone does take exception to this procedural issue then I suggest taking it up with the co-chairs.

Thanks Andy for volunteering your time,

Sam

PS.: please update the chair replacement in your group's
living charter: go to the forge group page, login, and use
the edit button below the 'Project Info' subframe.
