Dear Reference Architecture team members,
On behalf of Bob Bohn and the NIST team, Gregg Brown and I would like to extend our welcomes to each and everyone of you. Thank you very much for volunteering to participate in the Reference Architecture analysis group.

There are nine reference architectures listed in the document, and there may be others which weren't listed. Of the nine reference architectures, Gregg suggested that these architectures be organized into five different themes. We would like to suggest for each member to pick a functional characteristic or utility to work on. Additionally, each theme will need a leader. Please let Gregg and I know of your intention.

A tight deadline has been published by the NIST team. There will be a lot of work in-front of us.
