Hello Thijs: That's great. We prefer to have a separate session if possible, 'cos I am thinking of to collect some use cases as well. Otherwise, 20 mins shared with one of your session would also be great. If there is any relevant issues you would like to discuss for OGF-UR group, especially for cloud accounting purpose, I am more happy to request a collaborative session. As you might aware of, we are developing UR 2.0 to accommodate general HPC, Grid, and Cloud accounting data representation based on DMTF Metric Model and will try to reuse UR 1.0 metrics where appropriate. Dear all:
I am a research fellow from University of Southampton and currently co-chairing OGF-UR working group. Recently we were funded by UK JISC to perform a technical review task for using infrastructure cloud for research, which is required to cover following stakeholders:
* *a researcher*
* *someone working in a research support services role*;
* *someone working in an IT services role*;
* *Steering groups or vendors;*
* *possibly other people*;
Expected interview results are expected to identify issues including: v*irtualisation, cloud infrastructure prototype, resource planning, application correlation, standards & interoperability, Cloud programming models, measurement benchmarks, debugging and profiling, security, Monitoring and logging, service-level management, open source solutions*
Further details of our project, TeciRes, is available online at: http://www.jisc.ac.uk/media/documents/programmes/research_infrastructure/tec...
So we are thinking of the possibility to have a special session from OCCI group to collect use cases of public cloud and hybrid clouds through standard OCCI interfaces, and get some feedbacks from both cloud providers and researchers. We shall also very interested in the current status of OCCI standardisation efforts and roadmap. If you have sessions setup, could you please share 10-20 mins to us in one of your proposed sessions?
Best Regards!
X. Chen
