Enumerations for attributes

Hi, I know we said we were going to defer this topic, ... but the actions now have a attribute called "method" method has enumerated values associated with them.. We need a way to define these values/options. Resource with Links Deletion procedure

Hi, Another nit... Links cannot exist without resource sources. When deleting the resource, should the occi client first delete the links then the resource ? If there are links attached to the resource, should the delete fail ? or should the links be deleted automatically ? cheers, gary

Security Considerations section lost again...

Folks, it seems that, in the final documents that have been published, the sections on "Security Considerations" that Andre and I wrote during the Taipei OGF are missing again. Since this was a major concern during PC, it is a bit of a pity that the text is lost on the way again. I felt free and updated the corresponding sections in the document sources. Could either of the chairs check with our AD whether (and how) we could do an errata release, and coordinate with Greg, our chief editor? Best, Alexander

Edgy Resource Attributes during Creation

Hi, One more edge.. During resource creation, resource attributes are included with the request. OCCI defined resources have defined attributes. The question is what does the occi server do when insufficient attributes are defined in the create request ? Does the create fail ? Does the server populate the Resource with default values ? or does the create complete missing some attributes. cheers gary

Query uniqueness

Hi, Maybe I'm looking that the specifications too long, but it seems you can place more than one term in a query named space... for example, a query named space '/network/' could refer to both the occi scheme and a private scheme. There is no requirement that identical 'terms' used to describe a resource category to have a similar or the same functional characteristics as terms defined in the occi scheme. There is a mention of an "entity_type" to "Entity type uniquely identified by the Kind instance." However it doesn't say "entity_type" uniquely "identifies" the Kind Instance. The only way to uniquely identify a Kind is by scheme:term. And this leads back to the issue with the query It looks like the query name is the category's "term" but we do not have a way to filter in specific schemes. cheers, gary
